Atorvastatin Calcium Capsules are indicated for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia, including those with familial hypercholesterolemia (heterozygous form) or mixed hyperlipidemia (corresponding to Fredrickson classification types IIa and IIb). If dietary therapy and other non-pharmacological interventions fail to achieve satisfactory results, this product can be used to address elevated total cholesterol, elevated LDL cholesterol, increased apolipoprotein B levels, and elevated triglycerides. In patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, Atorvastatin Calcium may be administered in combination with other lipid-lowering therapies or as a monotherapy (when no alternative treatment options are available), aiming to reduce both total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels.
